Gods and goddesses are a huge part of Greek mythology, representing different kinds of people in deity form.
The king of the gods is Zeus, making him the most powerful of all divine and semi-divine figures. He is said to control the sky, specifically the weather. Even though he is a mighty god, he still makes human-like errors in his personal life, especially with his goddess wife, Hera. Hera oversees marriage and families and prefers to be simple and fuss-free. She represents all the selfless mothers in the world. On the other end of the spectrum, the goddess Aphrodite personifies beauty and uses it as a way to get what she wants. There’s even a god who is the creator of wine, Dionysus! He represents the partygoers in the world.
