It's hard to pinpoint exactly what's behind the animosity toward certain foods. Food-related debates and divisive opinions are usually a matter of preference, location, or how someone was brought up. Many polarizing foods are often a matter of acquired taste.
We get it โ not everyone has to like everything (Though we do recommend at least trying it, just like your mother told you!). There are foods you love, foods you hate and foods that probably fall somewhere in between. At the end of the day, no matter how much you may love or hate a certain food, taste is subjective, rather than objective.
