One of the most frequently misquoted quotes of all time. What Armstrong actually said was, “That’s one small step for *A* man – one giant leap for mankind.” The vital word, “a,” was obscured by static so most people never heard it. But you have to admit the quote makes a lot more sense that way, which was how Neil Armstrong intended it.
