Some trends have become so pervasive that it is hard to browse Instagram and Pinterest without seeing a perfectly photogenic trendy dish that captures your attention.
In the last few years, a lot of the food trends were based on creating aesthetically pleasing dishes. A rainbow-colored dish that looks good and tastes good, however, doesn't mean it will stand the test of time. In fact, it is certainly not uncommon for food trends to be all the hype one year and die out the next. After all, consumer tastes are as fickle as they get.
From avocado toast to deconstructed food, here are some trendy foods and beverages that have captured our attention recently. How many of these have you tried? If you have been on trend enough to eat the majority of them, then you may just qualify as being truly cool.

It seems you don’t fit into the usual mold of being cool. You have somewhat traditional tastes, and you wouldn’t go out of your way to try something just because you’ve seen other people doing it. In fact, youโre so uncool that youโre actually secretly cool. People won’t realize it until they get to know you. Once they’re hit by how awesome and interesting you are, there’s nothing left to do but bask in your presence and admire you.
I’m traditional
I am Traditional, could have told them thatbefore I started quiz, coffee in a cone whatever next, prob. spill it all down me, ha ha. Altho I have eaten off a wooden board and one or 2 others, does that mean I’m hip or down with the kids or whatever weird term they use nowadays.
Traditional. Not in the habit of doing things just because someone else has. The only thing I can say about eating, drinking many of these offerings is – why would you? Not the slightest bit appetising.
