Many of us love our food trends, even if it may be down to keeping up with the Joneses. Some trends have become so pervasive that it is hard to browse Instagram and Pinterest without seeing a perfectly photogenic trendy dish that captures your attention.
In the last few years, a lot of the food trends were based on creating aesthetically pleasing dishes. A rainbow-colored dish that looks good and tastes good, however, doesn't mean it will stand the test of time. In fact, it is certainly not uncommon for food trends to be all the hype one year and die out the next. After all, consumer tastes are as fickle as they get.
