Since its inception in 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has garnered a huge following of both casual moviegoers and die-hard comic book fans. We all know and love him as Captain America now, but Chris Evans initially turned down the role not just once but twice, due to the amount of commitment and fame that would come with playing the character. He may not have a large role, but Jeremy Renner was trained by Olympic archers for his portrayal of Hawkeye. Drax the Destroyer may look like he has a simple wardrobe (he IS shirtless), but actor Dave Bautista spent three to five hours in makeup daily for the first Guardians of the Galaxy film.
