Quizly is back again with another English quiz! Whether you are a lover of the language or you simply wish to check your command of it, you should attempt this quiz to see how well you would do. If you don't have a good hold of grammar, you should turn back now. Dip your feet first by seeing if you can answer some sample questions!
Much of this quiz centers around the rules of grammar. Do you know when to use words like "affect" and "effect", "principal" and "principle", "influenced" and "impacted"? You may be surprised to know that many of us have trouble with the usage of these words. You also should be good at spelling. For example, is "oblivous" the correct spelling of a synonym of "unaware"?
Even if you can answer such questions and topics, you have a difficult challenge ahead of you nonetheless. Take a shot at this quiz that 90% of people couldn't pass!

Good!

18/20
I actually got all of the answers correct. The quiz master misfired on two questions, marking one very strictly (affect/impact) and one very leniently (farther/further). That’s quite unfair.
I got 18 out of 20!

I got 13 on 20, that is 65%. That’s so good.
14/20!! Phew! Happy with it.
I disagree with this answer. I was taught in school that farther means a distance while further indicates degree. Did someone change the rules when I wasn’t paying attention?
