23/24. I answered yes, the blue whale is native to Antarctica. You said the answer is no. I googled it and there are several different blue whales and one of them is the Antarctic blue whale. It is rare having been hunted to the point of extinction but is slowly recovering numbers. Please correct me if my information is wrong.

Thought I had done this one before. Should have been 24 but while saying Yes to myself I realised I had just clicked on the No accidentally. Really silly of me. I see you changed the question I previously had a question about. I really like that we can question things and you fix it if it is an error, usually not a real mistake but mostly a wording or explanation problem.

You’re right, there is an Antarctic blue whale subspecies, and blue whales do inhabit Antarctic waters. The question was intended to treat “native” in the sense of being exclusive to a region, which is why the answer was marked “No,” but we agree the wording is ambiguous. We’ll review and improve the question to avoid confusion. Thanks for catching that.
Thank you. Living on the east coast of Australia I thought I had heard that one of the species that migrates along this path was the blue whale, though much rarer than the humpbacks which we get lots of. We also get the odd southern right and minke.

Antarctica, often referred to as the "White Continent," is a land of extremes. It's the coldest, windiest, and driest continent on Earth. Despite its harsh conditions, it's home to an incredible array of wildlife and some of the most remote research stations in the world. The continent is almost entirely covered by ice, with only about 0.4% of its area ice-free.
Are you ready to test your knowledge about one of the most mysterious and fascinating places on Earth? Our Antarctica or Not? quiz will challenge your understanding of what truly belongs in the icy expanses of the Antarctic. This quiz offers a chance to learn intriguing facts about the southernmost continent. But first, knowing a bit about its geography and inhabitants can help you ace this quiz.
Wildlife of Antarctica
Antarctica might seem like a barren ice desert, but it's teeming with life. The wildlife here has adapted to the freezing temperatures and scarce resources. You’ll find species that you wouldn’t expect, while some Arctic species, surprisingly, don't belong here at all. For example, emperor penguins are iconic residents of Antarctica, while polar bears, often associated with icy habitats, actually live in the Arctic and not the Antarctic.
Geographical Wonders
The Antarctic landscape is dotted with unique geographical features. From the towering Vinson Massif, the highest peak in Antarctica, to the vast Ross Ice Shelf, understanding these locations will help you differentiate between what is truly part of Antarctica and what isn't.
Research Stations
Antarctica is not just a frozen wilderness; it's also a hub of scientific research. Numerous countries have established research stations to study climate change, astronomy, and biology. The Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, for example, is one of the most famous research stations on the continent.
