Even if we claim to be a language buff, there are some words we tend to misspell – and you can guarantee that at least one of them which plagues you when you write is in this quiz. In fact, one commonly misspelled word is the word "misspell" itself!

For many words, you have to remember the 'i' before 'e' except after 'c' rule. This applies to words such as believe, fierce, and receive. But as we know, there are plenty of exceptions to the rule in the English language, including words like species, science, and vein. The phrase "a lot" is exactly that - a phrase! Remember that the single word 'alot' does not exist. With a little care and mindfulness, we can all spell better.
