  • Refrain from using all caps: It's considered shouting.
  • Stay on topic: Keep your comments relevant to the quiz or topic being discussed.
  • Avoid spam: Refrain from posting spam or promotional content in your comments.
  • No offensive or inappropriate content: Avoid posting content that is offensive, derogatory, or inappropriate.
  • Compliance with terms of service: Ensure that your comments comply with our terms of service.

👯 Friends Etiquette

Quizly is a place to connect, but not everyone is here for small talk—or friend requests from strangers. When using the Friends feature, keep it respectful and don't be weird. Seriously.

Here's how to be a good digital friend:

  • Respect boundaries: If someone declines or ignores your friend request, take the hint. Repeated requests or unwanted messaging = 🚩.
  • Keep messages friendly, not creepy: We're here for trivia, not Tinder. Harassment, flirtation, or personal probing will get you flagged and possibly banned.
  • Don't impersonate: Creating a profile to look like someone else—especially to trick users into connecting—is strictly forbidden.
  • Be kind in DMs: If you're messaging, keep it helpful, humorous, or wholesome. Passive-aggressive jabs or drama? Not welcome here.

We want Quizly to be a safe, welcoming space to connect with fellow quizzers. If someone's crossing a line, report them and we'll step in.

📩 Private Messaging

You can chat about anything, but please be respectful. Harassment, bullying, hate speech, and inappropriate content are strictly prohibited. If you receive an unwanted message, you can Block or Report the user by going to his/her profile.

Please adhere to the following guidelines in messaging:

  • Be respectful: Treat everyone with kindness and respect. Any comments or actions that are disrespectful, harassing, or inappropriate will not be tolerated. Be mindful of your language and interactions with others, especially minors.
  • No sharing of personal information: For safety, do not share private details like your full name, address, phone number, or passwords.
  • Report inappropriate behavior: Use the Report feature if someone is being rude, inappropriate, or making you uncomfortable. You can do this by going to their profile and selecting the "Report" option.
  • No spamming: Avoid sending excessive messages, links, or promotions.
  • Keep it friendly: Conversations should be positive, fun, and kind.
  • Blocking is available: If needed, you can block users to prevent further contact.
  • Parents should supervise young users: If you are under 13, we encourage you to use these features with a parent or guardian's guidance.

To protect our community from spam, new accounts must be at least 7 days old to initiate private messages.

🏆 Leaderboards & Fair Play

Our leaderboards showcase the sharpest minds and quickest fingers. They're meant to inspire friendly competition—not fuel ego wars or cheating sprees.

What's fair game?

  • Play honestly: Use your own brain. No bots, cheat tools, or sharing answers to climb the ranks.
  • Don't accuse others in public: Suspect someone's cheating? Report it quietly. We investigate; you don't need to be the self-appointed quiz cop.
  • One account per person: No alt accounts to farm scores or prop yourself up. That's weak and won't fly here.
  • Respect all players: Don't shame lower scorers or trash-talk others. Intelligence comes in many forms—and sometimes people just play for fun.

We monitor the leaderboards closely. If you're caught cheating or manipulating the system, we'll reset your stats—or your access. Play with integrity or don't play at all.

🚫 Prohibited Content

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, the following types of content are strictly prohibited:

  • NSFW or offensive material – Quizly is a family-friendly site. Any inappropriate content, including explicit images or links, will be removed.
  • Hate speech & discrimination – Racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise prejudiced content has no place here.
  • Misinformation – Deliberately spreading false or misleading information will result in removal.
  • Spam – Refrain from excessive self-promotion, irrelevant links, or repetitive messages.
  • Harassment & personal attacks – Don't insult, threaten, or intimidate others.
  • Impersonation – Do not create accounts or post comments pretending to be someone else.
  • Cheating – Manipulating quiz results or using multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage is not allowed.
  • Posting spoilers – Avoid revealing answers unless a quiz creator specifically requests feedback.
  • Encouraging self-harm or violence – If you or someone you know needs help, seek professional support.

For Users Under 18

Quizly is a space for everyone—but when you're under 18, your safety and privacy come first. Here are some important guidelines to ensure a fun, safe experience for minors on the platform.

Respect the boundaries of others, especially minors:
