What first graders consider general knowledge is a bit of a mixed bag. At that age, they have had a few years' worth of understanding the world around them to a certain degree. They have spent some years developing their own personalities, their likes and dislikes. By that age they may even have favorite movies and musical artists. Also, there are things they know that you don’t. That might seem odd but it’s true.
