For you, it might be. if Laura is from the US, Canada, or somewhere near there, it is Winter during Christmas. Snowing, cold temperatures, frozen lakes for iceskating, all sorts of stuff like that.
Yes, you are indeed right. In the Northern Hemisphere, Christmas is in winter, and in the Southern Hemisphere, Christmas happens in summer. I got winter, and I was indeed born in winter, about one month after Christmas when it’s freezing cold in my country from the Northern Hemisphere.
