Our planet is like a treasure trove of knowledge, full of natural resources that can be used to help us learn about the world around us and its history. From minerals and rocks to plants and animals, there is so much to discover. We are constantly discovering new and fascinating facts about our world. Here are a few interesting facts about our planet that you may not know: Did you know that the largest desert on Earth is not the Sahara, but the Antarctic desert? Since a desert is defined as a dry area with low vegetation, Antarctica fits the bill — even if it looks different from what we usually imagine as a desert. How about the fact that Russia has one-eighth of Earth's total landmass? You could fit almost two entire Canadas within it!
You don't have to be a globetrotter to explore the far corners of the planet — you can test your knowledge of the world with our geography quiz. If you want to challenge yourself, you can try to score full marks on it. Well, you're going to need some very broad geography knowledge to ace it, that's for sure. Are you ready to take your brain over the hurdles?

21/24 pretty solid
Hi Quizly, Good Day to you! Sorry, but I found two errors in the above quiz, and thought I should just point these out so that you can amend them. They are as follows:
In your one of your questions, you wrote: “You are traveling to Asia to see the Wat Pho Temple Complex and the very large and famous Reclining Buddha. Where in the word are you?”.
– You obviously meant to write: “Where in the WORLD are you?”!
In another question, you wrote: “What country has 31 states below the Rio Grande?”
– the word ‘below’ in this context is, at best, ambiguous! It is more likely to mean ‘lower in altitude’ than ‘south of’, but the country a river flows through is extremely unlikely be lower in altitude than ANY of its rivers (apart from in the case of very low-lying countries such as The Netherlands), but it’s well known that Mexico has many mountains and much very high ground! Therefore, it’s highly implausible for the entirety of all of its 31 states to lie lower (in altitude) than the afore-mentioned river! Moreover, the words ‘above’ and ‘below’ should NOT be used as viable alternatives to ‘north’ and ‘south’ (respectively), ESPECIALLY in GEOGRAPHICAL contexts! So, you should rightfully have used the GEOGRAPHY-specific words, i.e. the CARDINAL &/or ORDINAL directions – SOUTH / SOUTH-WEST / WEST etc., as not ALL of Mexico’s states ARE to the south of the Rio Grande, due to the fact that this river doesn’t form the whole of the border between the USA and Mexico, but only about 2/3rds of it. So, to conclude, it’s more accurate to state that Mexico has 31 states to the SOUTH, SOUTH-WEST and WEST of the Rio Grande! As this IS, after all, a GEOGRAPHY quiz, it’s only right and proper to use the correct GEOGRAPHICAL terminology – as I’m sure you will agree!
