An old favorite is 1968's Night of the Living Dead. Its small budget didn't stand in its way of becoming a national treasure and the classic icon for zombie films. A movie that probably gave twins their terrifying connotation is The Shining. Released in 1980, the movie has become iconic by planting the image of Jack Nicholson peering through a door in our minds. His creepy smile has definitely spooked us! But the most frightening flick in the horror genre has to be The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The 1974 slasher movie creeped us out with the infamous and villainous Leatherface alone!
