Every character is carefully humanized in the films. Look at Tony Stark's ego issues, Thor's family issues, and Peter Parker's high school days. Even with the villains, this happens regularly: Thanos's background and motivations are crystal clear. The minor characters also helped shape the entire universe. Without them, the MCU would not be as engrossing as it is today.
