Yeah…they were harder times. But, they were also more interesting. Plus, I love the architecture and fashion of those eras. And I’m not a big fashion person.
Plus, Gothic Victorian is one of my favourite aesthetics.

Wow! I remember last year I had to convince my teacher to take a trip to the place of our choosing. Me and my Indian friend picked India, but I think we should have chosen a place like where you live! I do believe that the older it is the more expensive it is, but why don’t they make it free? What if they only charged you if you broke the rules? That would be nice…
Much of the charges go to maintenance. With heavier traffic comes more wear and tear. It’s happened with the Titanic: the more people who’ve have gone down to see the shipwreck, the faster it has eroded. That’s why they’ve minimized/stopped trips to see it…to try and preserve it.
I’ve only been to amusement parks, so I don’t know how that feels. I think I would like how that feels too. I like older more ornate stuff. I LOVE the stuff at the Biltmore! Have you ever been? My grandma said it is too expensive to go back, so I will never see it again.(In my childhood)
The Biltmore in NC? No, I’ve never been. But, it does sound neat.
There are old buildings all over the place. Our downtown core, on our Big Island, had a very old style feel. As it bears our Capital city. But also our mainland downtown core has some pretty historic sites.
Montreal also has whole sections of historic sites. But, yeah, the more historic the site, the more expensive to visit.
I LOVE architecture! I just generally love design! I think I like the architecture in London, currently, the best. And the Victorian dresses back then were AMAZING!
Yes! Architecture is fun! I just recently saw a Library that has some real cool architecture. A kind of blending of old and new designs…and I actually don’t hate it. I also love old historic buildings. Old libraries and castles. I also like walking through cobblestone streets in historic cities. I love the feel of it.
