Dear Quizly, in just this one quiz, I have found some inaccuracies and omissions! I’ve given you feedback below:
1. In your Question: Which animal is known to survive temperatures as low as -40°C by going into a frozen state? In this question (to which the answer is the Wood Frog), Quizly did not need to specify that the degrees are CELSIUS ones, because at minus 40º, Celsius and Fahrenheit are equal to each other – it’s the only temperature at which the two scales intersect / overlap.
2. In your Question: What percentage of an iceberg is typically visible above water? Quizly stated that the correct answer is 10%, but it’s NOT! To be more accurate, it’s 11% or 1/9th. The basic reason for this answer is that ice’s density is only 89% (to the nearest whole percentage point) that of water’s. In other words, the volume of water displaced by an iceberg is equal to about 89% of the volume of the iceberg. This means that about 89% of the iceberg is submerged, leaving around 11% of the ice exposed above the surface. – SEE https://geo.libretexts.org/Bookshelves/Oceanography/Introduction_to_Oceanography_(Webb)/14%3A_Ice/14.02%3A_Icebergs
3. In your Question: Which type of tree keeps its green needles throughout winter? Quizly have given the correct answer as ‘Evergreen’, but why not mention its equally correct alternative name? – ‘CONIFEROUS’. That would be more thorough and thus more ideal.
4. In your Question: Can you tell us which of the following is a winter Olympic sport? The options Quizly gave were: Bobsleigh, Curling, Skeleton, or All of these. I clicked on ‘All of these’ which was marked correct, but was confusingly accompanied by the following (coloured in green, as my answer was found to be correct!): Spot on! The correct answer is “Snowboarding”. Snowboarding is a winter Olympic sport that involves riding a snowboard down snow-covered slopes…
Quizly – you really need to check that your answers ARE indeed correct! You seem to copy and paste your answers from the most popular websites without double-/triple-checking your facts via more erudite websites, but in THIS case, it seems that you simply forgot what your question was! You need a better proof-reader! Finally, I must tell you that I’m sorry to be pointing out ‘faults’ in your answers, because I DO very much enjoy your quiz questions in general, and the majority of your answers ARE accurate, correct and also interesting.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such detailed feedback. We really appreciate it. You’ve raised excellent points and you’re absolutely right on several of them (including the -40° equivalence and the 11% iceberg visibility). We’ll review and correct the questions and explanations you mentioned, including the Snowboarding mix-up — that was clearly a display error on our part.
We’re continuously improving Quizly and insights like yours are genuinely helpful. Thanks again for enjoying the quizzes and helping us make them even better!

17/24. I’m sure I knew more once. Perhaps I’ve forgotten some because of “need to know”. We think really, really cold is 5 deg.Celcius. I’ve only seen snow once in my life and had to drive about 10 hours for that. It was very pretty, whiter than I could imagine, but it’s well and truly off my bucket list now.
But she is always first as well. Does she sit and wait for it to appear and start immediately? I don’t know how it is possible. I know sometimes I’m second but that is because I might happen to be on the computer and check my emails because I’m an insomniac sometimes.

I don’t know her methods for getting full marks, and can’t comment on that. As for being the first to comment, she may be alerted via push notifications that many players are also subscribed to. The moment a new quiz is posted, she gets an alert on her device. It’s quicker than the email newsletter that gets sent out at a specific time every day.
Maybe has nothing much better to do. Kira Callaghan is another one on here gets every one right and has done so for a very long time. No one is that smart to get every quiz right all the time. I have no respect for anyone who cheats, you could never trust them.
