We would all like to think that we're nice, selfless, and well-intentioned people. However, we can't possibly be aware of everything we do all of the time. We may do certain things unconsciously which we aren't open to admit.

When you've just experienced something awesome and you're telling your friend about it, you expect her to react in an excited, positive manner. However, when she seems less than enthused, we tend to embellish the story, just to evoke a better reaction and sound cooler. When you're in your element, like doing a project on a topic you're well-versed in or visiting a place you've been in before, you are vocal about how much you know. It's great to be proud of yourself, however, you tend to assume that the people around you are clueless. That's not very nice, right?
