The 1940s were a time of great change in Hollywood. The Golden Age of Hollywood was in full swing and there were some amazing films being made. The films which won the Best Picture Oscars in the decade include "Going My Way", "Gone with the Wind" and "Hamlet".

There were also some great performances from actors and actresses in the 1940s. One actor who excelled was Humphrey Bogart. Bogart was a great actor who could convey a wide range of emotions, and he was also very charismatic. He was in many great films in the 1940s, including "The Maltese Falcon," "Casablanca," and "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre." He was also nominated for an Oscar for his performance in "Casablanca." Other notable performances that emerged in the 1940s include James Stewart in "It's a Wonderful Life," Gregory Peck in "To Kill a Mockingbird," and Kirk Douglas in "Champion."

Go back to those years and see if you can recognize the famous Hollywood actors of those times.
