Part of being a grown-up is living independently and being self-sufficient. And that means you should be able to cook a meal for yourself in your own kitchen.
The kitchen can be one of the toughest rooms to properly equip. There are so many appliances and gadgets that are easy to forget until you're in mid-meal prep and realize you don't have them. Having the right tools at the right time simply makes life so much easier when making a delicious home-cooked meal. With the rise of millennials choosing to cook at home instead of dining out, we can only imagine that a lot of you are reading this and nodding your heads in agreement.
You don't need a kitchen full of gadgets to cook great food. But there are some kitchen essentials — from utensils to appliances — that every grown-up should have in a fully functioning kitchen. How many of these items do you own?
You’re a Grown-Up!
Congratulations, you’re an entirely self-sufficient adult. It’s evident from your well-equipped kitchen that you know your way around it. Even if you may not always cook for yourself, you definitely like getting experimental in the kitchen and have no fear of trying out new things.
Grown up……….I would hope so at almost 84. In fact, I have more than one of several of the items listed.
That was wrong on both accounts.
Grown Up!
I got not yet a grownup and they’re wrong

I`m a grown – up, True, There were a couple of items I don`t own because I haven`t come across recipes where I needed them, I love cooking & trying new recipes.
I’m a Grown-Up……I’m 63 years old so yes I would think that’s correct 🤦♀️
I’m and adult, though I question that. At 72 years old, I still don’t want to grow up. The better question would be, “Do you use…” I have a whole lot of things in my kitchen that I never use. Others that I use once or twice a year, if that often. So maybe I’m really not an adult after all. Hurray!
I’m grown up
Not yet a grown up.
And you’re not yet 100% correct. Why the hell would I, as a vegan, want a meat thermometer?
Good question. I never thought about that. But then, I’m not a vegan, or even a vegetarian. I also have a lot of things in my kitchen I have no use for.
My goodness, I just realised I don’t have a salad spinner. I haven’t been making my salads properly for nearly 60 years. Don’t think I’ll bother with one now, it hasn’t killed me or anyone I’ve fed.
