There's not much you can't put into a flaky, buttery crust. From fruity fillings piled high with meringue to rich, creamy chocolate delights, there's a pie that satisfies every craving and taste.
No matter what the season or occasion, there's always a fitting time for a slice of pie. Autumn and winter call for a pie filled with caramel pumpkin or strawberry rhubarb; during summer, it's the blackberry lattice pie or sugar-crusted peach version that we turn to. Even for those of us who don't necessarily have dessert after every meal, it can be tough to turn down a slice of chocolate cream pie.

It’s mostly the US that’s wild about pies. I don’t think I’ve been to another country where they are widely eaten, especially the sweet varieties.

Aussie here. When I hear pie I start thinking about steak and mushroom, steak and onion, steak and kidney, chicken and leek, chicken and mushroom, and loads more savoury options. Although I have tried some of these 14, some I wouldn’t bother with again, like pecan or pumpkin, although as kids we had gramma pie which is like pumpkin. Some I haven’t had for years. My Mum made a great blackberry pie (we went out and picked the blackberries), and rhubarb and apple pie (my Dad grew the rhubarb).

9/25 36% Surprised at this thought I would have scored more. Do enjoy a good pie, tho not particularly all that healthy for you. Nothing like a good meat pie with spuds and veg and lashings of good gravy, Autumn and Winter food. This selection were more sweet not savory, did like the sound of them but never tried them or likely too as I expect for them to be all found in the States. Our pubs and Restaurents are not very adventurous, same old things repeated from one to another. And even if you pay for a posh place don’t always get what you pay for, I am very traditional but will try new things if I can work out whats in them and not too foreign or yuccy. Certainly got my mouth watering, prob cos hungry not had brekkie yet for a bit of coconut cream pie and quite few of the others, send me a slice, Ha Ha Lol.

Sad story…the very first time I tried Lemon Meringue pie…I threw up. I was afraid to eat it for years after that. But, I bravely tried it another time, and was completely fine.
