There are some events in history that have been taught for generations in certain ways that we have been led to believe. But certain information may have been interpreted wrongly.
The idea that Christopher Columbus was the first person to discover America has become well-known around the world. However, that myth has been debunked! This feat was accomplished by a Viking about 500 years before Columbus was even born. We know that the Wright brothers were the ones who invented the airplane, but is that really true? In reality, it is difficult to attribute the first airplane invention. The one closest to the truth is a German immigrant who made one or two flights in a monoplane he designed, about two years before the brothers' flight in 1903.
